Alcoves:

Inspired by the Mystique of Caves Alcoves were born from my fascination with caves—their dark, comforting embrace offers me a place to process my thoughts and feelings. It’s a space where one can be fully present and still.

I wanted to capture that essence in my artwork. I created this powerful piece to bring stillness into your home, offering a sanctuary for your most precious items or simply admiring its structure and bringing you quiet in a busy and noisy life.

This artwork provides a place of peace and daily self-reflection. Each piece is handmade with pure intention, stillness, kindness, and an open heart.

I use the raku firing technique, incorporating the four powerful elements: water, earth, fire, and wind. Alternatively, I use pit firing with organic materials from the outstandingly beautiful Cornwall landscape.

The ceramics are fired for 24 hours, allowing the organic shapes and forms to envelop them, resulting in a gorgeous, earthy, grounding finish. These elements create a stunning glaze reminiscent of a cove’s natural beauty.

I welcome commissions and would love to collaborate on your designs and ideas to create something unique.
