Alcoves: A Journey into the Depths of Mother Nature
Alcoves is a project I’ve been working on for some time, exploring the deep connection to safety and the nurturing embrace of Mother Nature, as if being back in her womb.
This project came to life during a Temazcal ceremony, where I was in complete darkness, embracing the four elements. It was a profound experience that inspired me to create something meaningful.
The result is a piece of functional ceramic, finished with Raku and smoke fire, embodying the essence of the four elements. It’s a special place where you can keep all your sacred little treasures collected over a lifetime. Whether it’s a beeswax candle, trinkets, or mementos that remind you of your most joyful times or cherished people, Alcoves is a space for honoring those moments just for you.
